This is a charming and funky little area, full of artists and homes situated on side streets paved with crushed oyster shells and reminiscent of the Hemingway era. It has received several ‘most beautiful beaches in the US’ accolades, with its infamous one-mile stretch of emerald waters. In addition to this great beach, there is kayaking to be had, a nature trail, and four miles of pine flatwoods to explore.
